Alloy clip on wheel weights
Light alloy wheel weights are for rims where you do not want to knock on lead. The weight is aluminium and the clip is matched to the rim flange. First you pick the gram weight the wheel balancer calls for. Then you find the clip that fits the edge of your rim. Measure the thickness and the shape of the rim flange, because that is where the versions differ. Knock-on weights in general are in knock-on weights, including the steel version steel wheel weights. If you are unsure between aluminium and steel, look at what the rim flange allows.

Choosing and ordering light alloy wheel weights
Which gram weight you need
The wheel balancer shows how many grams go where. Light alloy weights come in a range of gram weights, from a few grams to a few tens. You stick or clip the weight on the spot the machine points to. Usually you set several small weights side by side instead of one big block. Stick to the gram weights the machine gives, then the correction stays right.
Which clip fits your rim flange
The clip is the part that grips the rim flange. The shape and thickness of that edge differ per rim, so not every clip fits. Measure the thickness of the rim flange and see how the edge runs. Pick the clip that goes with it. A clip that does not sit properly on the edge will not hold tight. On an aluminium rim you pay extra attention to the fit, because you do not want to damage the aluminium.
Aluminium or steel
Steel weights are narrower and heavier per piece. Aluminium is lighter and is chosen for aluminium rims where space or looks matter. Which version you need depends on the rim and on the wheel balancer. If you want to see the full range, go to knock-on weights. The steel variant is listed separately in steel wheel weights.
Ordering: what you take from the old weights
Before you order, look at the weights that are on now. Note the gram weight and the shape of the clip. Measure the rim flange if you are unsure about the size. That way you order the right version in one go and you do not have to swap during balancing.
