Service couplers

Service couplers connect your service equipment, hoses or charging station to the service ports of an air conditioning system. This category covers manual quick couplers for both the high-pressure side (HP) and the low-pressure side (LP), with and without an integrated tap. The coupler clicks onto the system's service port and connects on the other end to a 1/4" SAE hose or station. Versions with a tap let you open and close the flow while connecting and disconnecting, so no refrigerant is lost. High-pressure and low-pressure couplers are not interchangeable; always check which side and which refrigerant (R134a or R1234yf) your system uses.

Detection equipment

This category covers electronic leak detectors, hydrogen/forming gas detectors, UV lamps, UV leak detection dye and injectors used to trace the source of refrigerant loss. Leak detection is a standard part of air conditioning service: a system that loses refrigerant cools poorly and must be leak-free before it is recharged. Depending on the method, you trace leaks with an electronic detector, with forming gas (hydrogen-nitrogen) or with UV dye combined with a UV lamp. Always check which method and which refrigerant suit your equipment and system.

Adapters

A/C service stations

Select an A/C service unit based on the refrigerant used in your workshop. Modern cars use R1234yf, older ones R134a. A machine that handles both gives you flexibility. Tank capacity and pump speed determine cycle time. Ensure the unit evacuates, recycles and recharges automatically. Some units only recover refrigerant, they cannot recharge. You need a full service unit for complete maintenance.

Work gloves & goggles

You have to choose between two types of work gloves here. One type resists coolant and oil, while the other gives you grip for heavy mechanical tasks. Getting the size right is important, because a loose glove reduces the feel in your fingertips. For goggles, pick a version that fits over your own glasses. That seal keeps splashes and dust out of your eyes during the job.

Service unit spare parts

You buy service unit spare parts for AC machines. Check the thread pitch and coupling before ordering. 1/2 inch ACME is standard for recovery units, but 1/4 inch flare is also used. Ensure the part works with R134a or R1234yf. A wrong filter or seal causes leaks and downtime. Order hoses and valves that fit your exact unit model.

Refrigerant & cylinders

Your A/C machine runs on the correct refrigerant. Never mix R134a and R1234yf because that destroys the compressor. Choose the cylinder by weight and type, and check the valve fitting on your recovery tank. Order the right gas for every repair.

A/C cleaning

Clean the vehicle's A/C system with foam or spray. Foam expands and removes bacteria from the evaporator core. Sprays only reach exposed surfaces. Choose foam when odours persist. Use a lance for the deep core. Check the drain hose for blockages first. Make sure the cleaner fits aluminium.

Measuring tools

This range holds measuring tools you use daily in the workshop. Pick a 150 mm caliper for brake discs and wheel bearings. Digital versions show readings on a display, analogue ones need no battery. Choose stainless steel for durability and a finish that resists workshop dirt. For digital models, the common battery type is LR44. Store instruments in a case to keep them dry and dust-free. Accurate work starts with a reliable measurement, so select the version that matches your measuring frequency.

Service sets

First, determine what refrigerant you work with. R134a and R1234yf have different quick couplings. The wrong choice gives leaks. These sets contain gauges, hoses, and connectors. You use them to measure pressure and recharge. A set with a vacuum pump handles a full recovery and refill. Check the connection size of your existing equipment before ordering.
