Please note: this detector is intended for detecting hydrogen leaks when using forming gas. Fill the system with a hydrogen-nitrogen mixture in accordance with the instructions of the equipment and gas manufacturer.
Electronic leak detector for locating leaks using forming gas, a mixture of 5% hydrogen and 95% nitrogen. You pressurise the system with this mixture and move the probe along connections and lines; if there is a leak, the device detects the escaping hydrogen. Hydrogen leak detection is more sensitive than searching with refrigerant and can be used without introducing refrigerant into the system.
The detector features a flexible stainless steel probe of 40 cm, allowing you to reach even hard-to-access areas. A leak is indicated by an acoustic signal and a three-colour LED level indication, so you can estimate the severity of the leak. Sensitivity is high: less than 5 ppm (2 g/year). The high/low sensitivity setting allows you to adjust the device to the situation, and a battery indicator shows when the power is running low.
The detector is supplied in a plastic carry case. The device complies with CE and RoHS.
