Brass coupling adapter to convert a M1/4" SAE connection to M1/4" NPT. This allows you to connect a service hose or manifold set with 1/4" SAE to equipment with a 1/4" NPT pipe thread, such as pressure gauges, service blocks or pump connections.
The adapter is made of solid brass and features a precision-ground conical M1/4" SAE male flare connection on one side, and a M1/4" NPT male pipe thread on the other side. The hex in the middle allows tightening with a wrench.
The SAE side seals according to the flare principle, metal-to-metal. The NPT side is a tapered pipe thread that seals on the thread itself; use thread sealant where necessary. Only use the adapter between connections with the correct sizing.
