KUKKO 54-2 Nut Splitter, Double-Cutting, 10-27 mm

A rounded or seized nut will not come loose with any spanner, and the angle grinder brings sparks and heat to places where that often is not possible. This nut splitter works cold: the yoke goes around the nut, the hardened chisel is driven in by the spindle and cuts through the nut wall until it cracks open.

Double-cutting means it cuts from two sides at once, so the nut falls apart in two halves instead of springing open. That is quicker and the nut drops off straight away.

The thread underneath is left untouched — which is the whole point, because grinding a nut off often damages the bolt it sits on as well.
