Single Sizes
Buy individual sockets to replace a missing size or build a custom set. Choose the drive size first: 1/4 inch, 3/8 inch, or 1/2 inch. Then pick the socket size in millimetres. A six-point profile grips the bolt securely. Chrome finish prevents rust. Order only the socket you need, not a whole set.

Buy individual sockets by size
Choose the right size and drive
You buy a single socket in the size you are missing. First check the drive size for your ratchet: 1/4 inch, 3/8 inch or 1/2 inch. Measure the bolt or nut, then you know which wrench size you need. A hexagon profile grips the bolt firmly and prevents slipping.
Where ordering goes wrong
Many mechanics order a socket that does not fit. Always check the drive size of your ratchet. A 1/2 inch socket will not fit a 3/8 inch ratchet, even with force. Also check if you need a standard or extra long version. Extra long sockets reach deeper into the workspace.
Why single sizes are handy
With single sockets you only fill the size you are missing. You do not buy a full set with sizes you already have. This saves space in your toolbox and leaves money for other tools. The chrome finish protects against rust and makes cleaning easy.
Single sockets belong with a good ratchet wrench in your box. If you prefer everything together, look at ratchet wrench assortments.
