Socket Adaptor: Which Size Fits?

A socket adaptor connects your ratchet or extension rod to a socket with a different drive size. For example, use a 1/4 inch ratchet with 3/8 inch sockets. Always check the internal and external squares. The size is in inches, such as 1/4, 3/8, 1/2, 3/4, or 1 inch. Not every combination works. A 1/2 inch adaptor on a 3/4 inch socket needs a reducer.

What to Check When Ordering?

Measure the drive size of your ratchet and the socket. The adaptor has two sides: an internal square for the ratchet and an external square for the socket. Choose the sizes that match.
