Puller spare parts
A puller lasts for years if you can replace the wearing parts. This category holds cross-arms, puller jaws, spindles, pressure pieces and repair kits by series. Every part belongs to a particular model, so the part number is your first point of reference. That number is engraved on the cross-arm of your puller. Write it down before you order anything, then you know it will fit. If you are unsure between two sizes, measure the thread of the spindle and the width of the cross-arm. For a complete new puller or another version, look at universal pullers.

Puller parts: how to order the right one
Which part do you need?
Every puller has a part number. It is engraved on the cross-arm. Search on that number and you will find the matching part. If it is a cross-arm, the fit on the arms has to be right. With a puller jaw you check the shape of the jaw. A pressure piece belongs to the spindle size you are using.
Where ordering goes wrong
One spindle often looks like another, but the thread differs. Check the size of the spindle and the shape of the spindle tip. A wrong spindle will not fit or will damage your workpiece. With a cross-arm you look at the width and at the holes the arms drop into. Anyone who keeps using a puller with a worn cross-arm puts more force on the arms than needed.
Original or universal
An original part belongs to your puller and fits without any adjustment. Universal pullers often have their own series of cross-arms and jaws. For a puller with a hydraulic cylinder, the parts are not interchangeable with a hand-operated version. Look at internal pullers if you need to grip a bearing from the inside, or at slide hammers and counterstays for heavier work. A damaged puller jaw or a bent cross-arm is better replaced before you start on a seized bearing.
Repair kits and loose parts
Some series have repair kits with the parts that wear first. Loose cross-arms are ordered by model, such as the cross-arm for the 20-20. Put the part number of your puller in your records, then you will not have to search next time.
