KUKKO 17-1 Separating Knife with Quick-Clamp Spindle, Ø 8-75 mm

The separating knife you reach for when a bearing or gear sits tight against a shoulder with no room for a jaw. The two halves are placed around the shaft and drawn together by the quick-clamping spindle; the ground cutting edge forces its way between bearing and shoulder.

That creates a flat shoulder for a pulling bridge to act on. It matters that the edge grips behind the inner race: grip behind the outer race and you push the balls through the raceway, losing the bearing anyway — and possibly the shaft with it.

Use this separating knife together with the matching pulling device; on its own it does not pull.
