Clutches & Flywheels
When replacing a clutch or flywheel, the key is the correct match. Always check the OEM number on the old part. That ensures the new plate, pressure plate or flywheel fits exactly. Consider the number of parts and length. A complete kit includes everything for a smooth install. If in doubt, ask for help.

Ordering the right clutch and flywheel
Determine the correct version
When replacing a clutch or flywheel, the right match is everything. Always check the OEM number on the old part. This ensures the new plate, pressure plate or flywheel fits exactly. The number is on the part itself, not on the packaging.
Where ordering goes wrong
Many mechanics order by make and model. That is not enough. The same car often has several clutch variants. The number of parts and the length of the shaft differ per version. Always measure the old clutch. A complete kit contains everything for a quick installation. This prevents a second removal.
Why choose a complete kit
A complete kit includes the plate, pressure plate and release bearing. Sometimes a clutch alignment tool is included. This tool keeps the plate centred during installation. Without it, the plate shifts and the gearbox will not slide on. If in doubt, choose a kit with an alignment tool. Ask for advice with the OEM number at hand.
For drivetrain work, also look at gearbox, axles & steering and at drive shafts & wheel hubs. If the wheel bearing or rubber bush is also on the schedule, you will find the right tools at wheel bearings & rubber bushes.
