Quick coupling socket, Euro profile 1/4" BSPP male thread

The socket you screw onto a fixed point: a wall tap, an air preparation set or the end of a line. Push a plug in until it clicks and the balls catch the groove. Pull the ring back and it comes free.

Tighten it with a spanner on the flats. The housing is thin at the front, and pliers leave a dent right where the plug has to pass.
