Screenwash: choose the right type
Ready-to-use or concentrate
You buy screenwash ready-to-use or as a concentrate. Ready-to-use is directly usable. Concentrate you mix with water. Follow the mixing ratio on the label. Too much water lowers the freezing point and the cleaning power. Measure accurately.
Check the freezing point
The freezing point determines whether the fluid stays liquid in winter. A summer variant freezes sooner. For winter, choose a fluid suitable for temperatures down to minus 20 degrees or lower. Check the freezing point on the packaging. This prevents frozen lines and a damaged pump.
Cleaning and paint protection
A good fluid removes dirt, insects and grease from your windscreen. It must not damage the paint. Some products contain alcohol that can be aggressive. Choose a formula that is safe for paint and wiper blades. This keeps your view clear and your washer system reliable.
