Safety quick coupling, Euro profile 3/8" BSPP male thread

This socket does not release the plug in one movement. First the bore closes and the pressure vents from the hose, only then does the lock free up. The hose drops instead of whipping away.

On a long workshop hose that is not a luxury. Ten metres of hose at eight bar holds enough energy to swing a coupling around hard, and it reaches that speed within half a metre.
