Straight male adaptor 12 mm x 1/2" BSPT male thread

The standard fitting for putting a tube on a cylinder, valve or manifold. The tapered thread narrows as it goes in and wedges itself tight in the port. A sealant is already on the thread, so there is no need to wrap PTFE tape around it.

Tighten it with a spanner on the flats, not with pliers on the body. Winding it up until it will not move is unnecessary and eventually cracks the aluminium of the cylinder.
