Straight male adaptor 8 mm x 1/2" BSPP male thread

The same straight fitting, but with a parallel thread. That does not seal in the port; it seals on the O-ring pressed against the face around it. So you need a flat, clean landing surface.

The advantage is that you can undo it as often as you like without the seal getting worse. A tapered thread cuts itself in again every time and will leak eventually.
