Which size do you need?
A sliding bar has a square opening that slides over the ratchet or extension. The size must match your ratchet. Common sizes are 1/4, 3/8, 1/2, 3/4 and 1 inch. Choose the same size as your sockets and extensions. That way everything works together safely.
Pick the right length
A long sliding bar gives more leverage. Use it to loosen heavy bolts or tighten them firmly. A short sliding bar is handy for tight spaces. A long bar will not fit there. Think about where you will use the bar most.
