Extensions
These insulated extension bars let you work safely on live circuits. They are tested for 1000 V AC and 1500 V DC. Choose a drive size of 1/4, 3/8 or 1/2 inch. The right length depends on the distance to the fastener. Check the insulation for cuts before each use, and never use a bar with a damaged coating.
Extensions for insulated tools
What it is
These extensions are insulated and meet the standard for safe work on live parts up to 1000 V. You choose the length that fits where you want to place the socket. The drive connects to your ratchet or torque wrench. That way you can still reach deeply recessed nuts and bolts without giving up your safety.
When to choose it
Take an extension rod when the socket alone does not reach far enough. For a seized nut behind an edge, or a bolt deep in an engine bay, the length decides whether you can get to it. Combine with socket bits for awkward angles, or with reversible ratchets for quick changes. Everything falls under insulated tools.
Where ordering goes wrong
Watch the drive: an extension with 12.5 mm (1/2") will not fit a ratchet with 10 mm (3/8"). Also measure the length you need, because too short falls short and too long will not fit. Check that the insulation is undamaged before you work on live parts.
