Pick the right insulated set
Which size or type fits the job
You choose a tool set based on the work ahead. A socket set with a 12.5 mm (1/2") drive and sizes from 10 to 24 mm covers heavy tasks. For tighter spaces, a set with a 10 mm (3/8") drive works better. Check that the set includes the sizes you use daily. A complete set stops you from hunting for a loose socket mid-job.
Where ordering goes wrong
Do not order a set without checking that all parts are VDE-approved. That is mandatory for high voltage, just as with the rest of your high-voltage and insulated tools. Also watch the number of parts. An 11-piece set is not complete for work on multiple vehicles. See whether the set duplicates tools you already own. That avoids double spending. A case with a fixed place for each tool makes checks simple.
Which standard matters
