Which filling knife do you need?
Filling knives come in different widths and versions. Use a flexible steel blade to apply filler in an even layer. A rigid blade removes paint, sealant and stickers without scratching. The blade width determines the surface you cover per stroke.
Check the handle and material
Handles made of wood, rubber or plastic feel comfortable in your hand. Choose a single knife for a specific task or a set for all bodywork jobs. Pay attention to the quality of the steel and the form of the handle. A good handle gives control, even during prolonged use.
Where ordering goes wrong
Measure the blade width before you order. A blade that is too narrow requires more strokes, a blade that is too wide is difficult on small areas. Check whether the blade is flexible or rigid. Flexible blades are for filler, rigid blades for removing old layers.
