Check the drive size
Most power drills have a 6.3 mm (1/4 inch) hexagon chuck. Check this before you order. A wrong drive will not fit and slows you down. With the right hexagon, you can mount sockets and bits directly in the chuck.
Socket length matters
Standard sockets suit most screws. Extra long sockets reach screws in deep recesses or countersunk fixings. Measure the space you work in. That way you avoid buying a set that is too short or too long.
Right-angle drives for tight spots
A right-angle drive turns the tool 90 degrees. This lets you drive screws where a straight drill does not fit. Check the angle and the load capacity. For heavy work, choose a robust model.
