Choose the right lifting equipment
Determine the load capacity
Start with the maximum weight you need to lift. An engine can easily weigh 150 kilos. A complete car requires a heavy-duty vehicle lift. Always check the load capacity of the lifting equipment. This prevents overloading and damage.
Mind the height and width
Measure the free height above the vehicle. And the width of your working space. A crane with a long boom needs more room than a compact lifter. Compare the dimensions of the legs. This way you know if the equipment fits in your workshop.
Choose the right type
A hydraulic jack lifts heavy loads with little effort. A crossbeam spreads the weight over multiple support points. A transmission jack is ideal for fitting gearboxes. Choose the type that suits the job. This keeps you safe and efficient.
