Insert Tools
Interchangeable heads for torque wrenches. They transmit the set torque to bolts and nuts. Drives are 1/4, 3/8 or 1/2 inch. Check that the opening (9x12 or 14x18 mm) fits your wrench. Select the correct size and profile. Then you can quickly switch sizes without an extra wrench.

Insert tools for your torque wrench
Insert tools are interchangeable heads for torque wrenches. They tighten bolts and nuts to the set torque. Drives are 1/4, 3/8 and 1/2 inch. Check that the 9x12 or 14x18 mm fitting matches your torque wrench. This lets you change size quickly without extra tools.
The three versions
There are three versions of insert tools. Push-fit ring spanners are closed and grip the nut fully. They are suitable for tightening bolts and nuts on a flat surface. The 12-point profile grips the nut quick and firm. Choose this version for general work on the vehicle.
Open-end push-fit spanners have an open head. They fit a 9x12 mm fitting. Use them where a ring spanner cannot go over the nut. Think of pipes, cables or other obstacles. The open form slides over the nut from the side. This lets you tighten awkward spots to the right torque.
Plug-in ratchets combine a ratchet with an interchangeable head. You turn the nut without removing the wrench. That works quick for long fastening jobs. The ratchet has a switch mechanism for left and right turning. Choose this version when you tighten many bolts in a row.
What to check
First measure the across flats of the bolt or nut. Then look at the fitting of your torque wrench. A wrong fitting means the tool does not fit. The drive in inch must also match. A good fit ensures accurate work and prevents wear on the torque wrench.
How to choose
For general work choose push-fit ring spanners. For tight spaces use open-end push-fit spanners. For serious work on many nuts take plug-in ratchets. Always check the fitting of your torque wrench. This way you order the right head for your tool.
