Air Tool Accessories
The right pneumatic accessories ensure your tools connect directly to the compressor. Check the thread size and coupling type. Common sizes are 1/4 and 3/8 inch. Also consider the maximum working pressure. Choose zinc-plated steel for heavy duty or brass for corrosion resistance. This prevents leaks and keeps your system reliable.

The right connection for your air tools
Which size do you need?
Pneumatic accessories include nipples, quick couplings and fittings. The thread size determines whether it fits. Common sizes are 1/4 inch and 3/8 inch. Measure the internal thread of your tool and the external thread of your hose. That way you know everything connects.
Where ordering goes wrong
Many mechanics only check the hose diameter. But the coupling must also fit the tool. Always check the connection type. A quick coupling with an 8 mm hose tail does not fit a nipple with a 1/4 inch external thread. So look at both the size and the type.
Material and working pressure
Choose galvanised steel for daily workshop use. It is strong and wear-resistant. Brass resists corrosion and suits damp environments. Also check the maximum working pressure of the accessories. It must be higher than the pressure of your compressor. This prevents leaks and keeps your system reliable.
You connect your accessories to air tools such as impact wrenches and air ratchet wrenches. For blowing away dirt and swarf, use an air blow gun, and for spraying paint choose a spray gun. Do not forget the air hose either: length and internal diameter determine the pressure loss in your system.
