Size and fitting

Measure the mounting height and axle size of your trolley or workbench first. The diameter determines how easily you roll over thresholds. Large wheels handle uneven surfaces better. Also check the wheel width. A wide wheel gives more stability, but may not fit the bracket.

Material and floor

Choose the material based on your floor. Rubber suits hard floors like concrete or tiles. It absorbs vibration and runs quietly. PU wheels roll more easily and wear less on rough concrete. Use them outdoors or in a warehouse. Note: rubber can leave marks on light floors.

Brakes and combination

A swivel castor with a brake locks your trolley firmly in place. That is useful for a workbench or a trolley that must stay put. Combine fixed wheels at the back and swivel castors at the front. This lets you roll straight and still steer. Choose double wheels to distribute the load better and reduce tipping.
