Cable Ties
Cable ties are essential in any workshop. Use them to tidy up wiring, hoses or pipes. Our ranges include ties from 100 to 300 mm long, in white or black nylon. Choose the width that matches the thickness of your bundle. Pay attention to tensile strength, so the tie won't loosen under vibration. Order a pack with enough pieces for your work.

Cable Ties Assortment for the Workshop
Pick the right cable tie size
Cable ties come in lengths from 100 to 300 mm. The length determines how thick a bundle you can secure. For a few thin cables, 100 mm is enough. For a thick wiring loom or a hose, choose 200 mm or longer. Measure the diameter of your bundle and add 20 mm. That gives you a tie that fits properly.
Where ordering goes wrong
The width of the tie matters as much as the length. A narrow 2.4 mm tie snaps under vibration. Use those only for light wiring. For hoses and sturdy lines, pick a wide 4.8 mm tie. It has a higher tensile strength and stays put, even with movement in the engine bay. Always check the tensile strength in newtons before you order.
Why nylon is the standard
These cable ties are made of nylon. That material is strong and flexible. It resists oil, grease, and most chemicals found in a workshop. Nylon ties come in black and white. Black ties handle uv light better. Use them outdoors or where sunlight reaches. White ties work indoors, where colour helps you identify lines.
Cable ties are part of consumables in the workshop. If you need to seal hoses and lines properly, look at hose clamps. For tidying up wiring neatly, use shrink tubes and cable lugs, and fixing clips are handy for keeping cable bundles in place.
