Insulation & Adhesive Tapes
Pick insulation tape with the VDE mark for electrical work. Plain adhesive tape only masks or bundles, so does not work as insulation. Choose width and length for the job: 19 mm is precise, 50 mm covers wide areas. Colour does not change the function, but a set offers sizes and a sharp knife cuts clean.

COLOR Tape Roll Set | 19 x 3.5 m | 6 pcs.

Multi-Adhesive Tape | black | 19 mm x 10 m

Packing Tape Roll | brown | 50 mm x 50 m

PTFE Seal Tape | 10 m | 2 pcs.

VDE Insulating Tape Assortment | 3 pcs.

COLOR Tape Roll Set | 18 mm x 3 m | 8 pcs.

Duct Tape | 50 mm x 10 m
Pick the right tape for each job
VDE approval for electrical work
Use insulation tape only for electrical connections. Check the VDE mark on the roll. It guarantees the tape withstands voltage. Standard adhesive tape does not insulate and melts with heat. Use it only for masking or bundling.
Width and length matter
Choose the width based on the job. A 19 mm roll is precise for wires and small cables. A 50 mm roll covers larger areas, like when masking windows. The length decides how long a roll lasts. For odd jobs, 3 metres is enough. For daily use, pick 10 metres or more.
Colour and sets
Black or brown does not change the function, only the look. Pick what fits the surroundings. A set with multiple sizes is handy in the workshop. You always have the right roll within reach. Cut the tape with a sharp knife for clean edges.
Insulation and adhesive tapes belong with consumables in the workshop. Bundle your cables neatly with cable ties and protect the ends with shrink tubes. For a solid connection use cable lugs, and when sealing a line sealing rings & O-rings come in handy.
