What blind rivets are
Blind rivets fasten from one side. You push the rivet through the drill hole and set it with a rivet gun or slide hammer. Ideal for bodywork, profiles and thin sheet where you cannot reach behind. The diameter must match the drill hole exactly, otherwise the rivet sits loose or will not fit.
When to choose them
Choose aluminium for general work and a corrosion-resistant type in damp or outdoor conditions. For a strong thread in thin sheet, use rivet nuts instead of blind rivets. If you prefer bolts and nuts, look under bolts, nails & nuts.
Where ordering goes wrong
