Engine & Attachments
Engine tools in this category include specialist wrenches for sensors, turbochargers, pulleys and oil filters. These tools often replace specific OEM numbers. Always check the OEM number for your vehicle and the correct size and pattern. Some are adjustable, others fit specific models. Choose the right drive and profile to avoid damage in tight engine bays.

Engine Tools for Attachments
Specialist tools for engines and attachments
This category holds specialist tools for work on engines and their attachments. Think of wrenches for turbochargers, pullers for injectors and thread repair kits. The tools often replace OEM numbers, so always check the number for your vehicle.
Thread repair on spark plugs and glow plugs
Damaged thread in the cylinder head often comes from overtightening. With a thread repair set for glow plugs you cut new thread or clean the existing one. A reamer cleans the thread, a repair set inserts a threaded insert. Choose the size that fits, such as M8 or M10. For spark plugs use a spark plug thread repair set in the right version, for example M14 x 1.25. A seat cutter makes the seat flat again.
Tools for turbo, exhaust and fuel
Turbochargers need special wrenches with a twelve-point or eight-point profile. Measure the size before ordering, as it differs per brand. In the turbochargers category you will also find test cases for the charge air system. For lambda sensors in the exhaust system use sockets with a window for the cable. This lets you turn the sensor fully without damage. Remove fuel injectors with a puller set for injectors from the cylinder head. Check whether the set fits your engine type, such as CDI or EcoBlue. For the fuel system itself, like tank sensors or fuel filters, look in fuel system. There you will find adjustable wrenches and test sets.
Spark plugs, glow plugs and alternators
For spark plugs and glow plugs you need sockets with the correct across flats, for example 16 or 21 millimetres. The drive is often 3/8 or 1/2 inch. In spark plug tools you will find sets with universal joints for angled plugs. Glow plugs sit deep and angled in the cylinder head, so use glow plug tools with a flexible shaft. Alternators sit in a tight spot. With special socket bits in the alternators category you can undo the mounting bolt, also on freewheel and pulley versions.
Timing, belts and cylinders
When replacing timing belts you lock the camshaft and crankshaft in the correct position. The sets in engine timing fit specific engines, so check the description. Timing belts, V-belts and multi-V-belts are replaced by profile and length. In timing belts, V-belts and multi-V-belts you will find pulley wrenches and tensioner wrenches. For a new piston the cylinder wall must be exactly round. With honing tools from cylinders and pistons you hone the cylinder to size. Choose the right honing stones for the desired finish.
Valves and other special tools
Valves and valve springs determine whether the engine breathes well. A wrong size causes compression loss. In valves and valve springs you will find valve spring compressors and valve grinding sets. Always check the diameter and length. For seals, crankshaft seals and water pump wrenches look in other special tools. There you will find jaws for radial seals and mounting tools.
How to choose
For damaged thread choose a repair set. When replacing a timing belt use an engine timing set. To remove a turbo or injector take the special tool from that category. Unsure about the size? Measure the thread or socket size and compare with the specifications. This prevents damage in tight engine bays.
